WHAT WE OFFER
Although there are many different types of massage therapy, there are many common benefits to these services. Learn more.
SWEDISH MASSAGE
Massage oil or cream is used with smooth, gliding strokes. Swedish massage uses firm but gentle pressure to promote relaxation, ease muscle tension and create other health benefits. It is a classic massage that will ease your stress and allow you to slip into a calm state of relaxation. Learn more.
DEEP TISSUE MASSAGE
Designed to remove severe tension, deep tissue massage is a technique used to relieve both muscles and connective tissue below the surface. It helps to improve range of motion and promote healing to injuries below the surface.
PRENATAL MASSAGE
Prenatal massage is therapeutic bodywork that focuses on the special needs of the mother-to-be as her body goes through the dramatic changes of pregnancy. It enhances the function of muscles and joints, improves circulation and general body tone, and relieves mental and physical fatigue. The gentle and noninvasive approach of prenatal massage can ease discomfort associated with pregnancy, help the mother-to-be prepare for labor and give her nurturing emotional support.

CANCELLATION POLICY
I understand that unanticipated events happen occasionally in everyone’s life. In my desire to be effective and fair to all clients, the following policies are honored:
When cancelling an appointment, 24-hour advance notice is required. This allows the opportunity for someone else to schedule an appointment. If a client cancels less than 24 hours before their appointment, they will be charged 50% of the amount of the appointment. If a client cancels less than 3 hours before their appointment, they will be charged the full amount of the appointment. This amount must be paid prior to their next scheduled appointment.
NO-SHOWS
A client who either forgets or consciously chooses to forgo their appointment for any reason will be considered a “no-show.” They will be charged for the missed appointment.
LATE ARRIVALS
If a client arrives late, their session may need to be shortened to ensure other clients' appointments remain on schedule. If a client arrives excessively late, the therapist may determine there is not enough time to start a treatment. Regardless of the length of the treatment actually provided, the client will be financially responsible for the amount of time they booked. Out of respect and consideration to the therapist and other clients, please plan accordingly and be on time.

ABOUT SWEDISH MASSAGE THERAPY
Swedish massage therapy is the modality that comes to mind when most people think about massage. As the best-known type of bodywork performed today, one of the primary goals of the Swedish massage technique is to relax the entire body. This is accomplished by rubbing the muscles with long gliding strokes in the direction of blood returning to the heart. But Swedish massage therapy goes beyond relaxation.
Swedish massage is exceptionally beneficial for increasing the level of oxygen in the blood, decreasing muscle toxins, improving circulation and flexibility while easing tension. A study conducted by the National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine, and published in The New York Times, found that volunteers who received a 45-minute Swedish massage experienced significant decreases in levels of the stress hormone cortisol, as well as arginine vasopressin-a hormone that can lead to increases in cortisol. Volunteers also had increases in the number of lymphocytes, white blood cells that are part of the immune system, and a boost in the immune cells that may help fight colds and the flu.
Swedish massage techniques include circular pressure applied by the hands and palms, firm kneading, percussion-like tapping, bending and stretching. Before and during your Swedish massage session, communication is encouraged with your professional massage therapist so that your massage is customized to your specific needs.
